Online Procedure: EPF UAN Name, Gender, & Date of Birth Correction as per Aadhar Records

UAN stands for Universal Account Number. It is a unique 12 digit number allotted by Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). Each Provident Fund (PF) account holder at EPFO will be given a unique UAN. UAN acts as an umbrella for the multiple PF numbers (Member ID) given to the same individual by different establishments. It means that you can’t change UAN even if you change your job or employer. The main purpose of UAN is, linking multiple EPFO accounts given to the same individual.

Through UAN all Provident Fund (PF) account holders can manage their account by online from a single portal. There is one UAN for one EPF member. Two EPF member cannot have the same UAN. Now EPF asked its member to link Aadhar number with UAN. As you all know it is compulsory too.

Many PF account holders have the problem that their UAN data details like Name, Gender, and Date of Birth are not matching with Aadhar records. So EPFO allows its member to make all the correction from a single portal by online.
