Tabs Vs Chords
Tabs (tablature) and chords are the most used in music especially in relation to the guitar. Both tabs and chords are the essential part that helps in playing the guitar.
In a tab, there are six horizontal lines that represent six strings on the guitar. The top line (first) will be the thinnest string and the lowest line (sixth) will be the thickest string. These six strings instruct how to play the frets. Whereas, a chord is a collection of sounds which is sounded together all at once.
Using tab, you can learn each song individually. While in case of a chord, the players can play many different songs.
Tab helps the guitar player to exactly playing the notes on the fretboard rather than reading the musical pitches. While a chord helps the guitar players to play the instrument more quickly than using tabs.
